People and permissions
Employees, teams, business partners — and who can do what, where.
The dynamic permission model
There are no roles in kommuns: each person's permission is computed from the assignments made to them, their team and their company on the inventory. Permission definitions, assignments and three-state permissions.
Inviting employees
Invite your employees to your organization by e-mail, choose their permission and follow the invitation.
How your permission is computed
The computed permission step by step: which assignments count, how they pass down the tree, how several assignments combine, and how inventory responsibility and partner permissions are taken into account.
Teams
Group people who work together as a team; give work orders and inventory permissions to the team instead of person by person.
Creating and assigning permissions
Define your own permissions (e.g. Technician, Inspector, Read only) and assign them to employees, teams or expert companies.
Inventory managers
Name a manager for locations, systems and equipment: work orders opened without an assignee go to the manager, and 'Inventory Manager' permissions work by manager.
